A New Way to Shop

I am going to teach you how to shop in a whole new way. You have been shopping for things you need right now and paying full price. I am going to teach you to purchase things before you need them and pay next to nothing. Wait, don't stop reading now. The following things are things you can get for free or nearly free with this new method of shopping:
shampoo
toothpaste
deodorant
shaving supplies
feminine hygiene supplies
soap or body wash
toothbrushes
beauty supplies
school supplies
sunscreen
first aid items
pain relievers
allergy and cold medicines
toilet paper
cleaning supplies
food

Are you in? Well then, lets get started! I never ever shopped at Walgreens or CVS because everybody knows that Walmart and Target sell the same stuff for a lot less money....or do they? At first glance the prices seem like they are inflated at Walgreens and CVS, but I am going to tell you about their special programs that will help you save a ton of money!!!!

Learning Walgreens

Learning Walgreens
I know the last thing a college student wants to do is to take another class. Well consider these the Cliff Notes or Spark Notes for your Walgreens shopping. The first thing you might want to do is read over Walgreens Coupon Policy found at the link provided. Walgreens has a program where they give you Register Rewards. Basically in the Weekly Ad you can find some products which will yield Register Rewards when  you purchase them. Register Rewards are used like Monopoly Money or Coupons for purchases at Walgreens.
Basics:
·         You may use one Walgreens coupon (from the Weekly Ad, Monthly coupon booklet or from Walgreens online) and one manufacturer coupon per item purchased. (A register reward is considered a manufacturer coupon).
·         The number of coupons cannot be more than the number of items purchased. In some cases you may need to purchase an inexpensive filler item in order to be able to use all your coupons.
·         Only one Register Reward will print per offer per transaction. You may make separate transactions in order to receive more Register rewards.
·         Customers redeeming a Register Reward against the same offer may not receive another Register Reward.

Walgreens Official Coupon Policy as found on their website at: Walgreens Coupon Policy

My suggestion is that you give yourself a budget of $5 to $10 to spend at Walgreens and CVS each week. This will get you started. The goal is to stay a little ahead of your needs, so you don’t have to pay full price for your necessities again. No extreme couponing necessary. Now look at the next post to see some scenarios for Walgreens this week!
